Sorry if this has been covered already, but I couldn't find it.
Is there a way to get notifications upon new emails received while I'm on "busy" mode? I don't mean the function that allows adding POP3 accounts, but simply the hotmail account I'm using to connect to MSN.
I found the way to make Plus notify me of contacts going online/offline, but I don't seem to find if there's an option to be notified of new email messages.

In Messenger Plus! Live Preferences and options, click on the "Customize!" tab on the top and then the "Event Notifications" tab on the right

Have you ticked the box "Show Messenger Plus! popup notifications while busy"?

I'm not 100% sure if it'll work, but this is your best bet

Yeah, I tried this, but it doesn't work for email notifications, it seems...

Events Notifications are only notifications for your contacts, not your own email, for example.

I can't find a script that will alert you about your own email.

What I could suggest is that you could add the Hotmail account in Plus! > Preferences > General > E-Mail Accounts. Hotmail now works with POP3, I believe. This would then alert you of new emails when busy, if you enable the option djdannyp mentioned above.
