i tried to search for it but all the reall identifing words are to short can i get my conversation windows to appear allways on top?

Yes, Conversation Window's menu>Tools>Always on top

sorry is there a global always on top button so a new convo window has that flag?

Just noticed, it is unchecked when you close and reopen a chat window.

So instead of searching for on top, you could search for "on top" for example.

no, but you could suggest it to Microsoft to add it to their long todo list so maybe one day it will be included:
contact list menu > help > feedback


In the mean time, here is a small script for Messenger Plus! Live to put every chat window automatically on top as soon as they are created. Install the script and enable the feature in the Plus! script icon > Chat Always On Top > Turn ON.
