O.P. Shocked  [UPDATE] LinkSaver 1.215
UPDATE Version 1.215

The new things :

-Interface.
-Ability to select the destination where you want to save your links.
-Manual or Automated saving  modes.
-Time Stamps.
-Links Naming.
-Opening the text file from the script's menu.
-Ability to chose your language (English, French or Spanish available).

Here's the new script description :

LinkSaver saves your links and allows you to name them for later use.

How it works :

The script is available in different languages : english, french and spanish. Open the preferences menu by clicking on the scripting icon / LinkSaver / Preferences, and configure the text file's path and the language you want the script to be used with. Also select if you would like manual saving mode to be enabled or not. When wanting to open your saved links, click on the scripting icon / LinkSaver / Open Saved Links, and the text file will open.

hello fellow members,

It had been a while I wanted to start "scripting", and although I consider this to be a very simple script, and to have also had a ton of help from segosa (and a bit from shawnz), I still like to believe that I learned a bit about scripting!

So what does LinkSaver do? Simple, it saves your links. We all get sent a lot of links, (yes, including the Google street view one with the girl's thong showing) which we might want to use later on, and opening the whole chat log to find the right link, sometime takes.. well, time.

So basically, this will take any link (including http://, http://www., mms://, ftp., irc://) and save it into a text file located in your "My Documents" folder under the name of "LinkSaver.txt".

So download fast before.. something.. happens.

Oh, and report any bugs please, thanks!

By the way, segosa had as much implication as me for the coding, if not more, so credits to him also, also he'd like to mention that I and only I (alby) was responsible of the comments layout.

Website will probably get built soon..
Although I don't feel it's that necessary.

Coming up feature :
- Separated by contacts.
- Clickable links.
- Load your links in the conversation window.

BUGS FOUND  :

Simple but useful script (Y)
You could always use a HTML log if you wanted the links to be clickable - with some javascript you could even probably get some cool table which allows you to sort them based on different categories such as date, name, category(?), etc.

PS: Yay for Plus!Mail in the screenshot :D

This is great. I wish it has more functions like sending url to wlm contacts, using drop down menu ala sendTo whenever you right click the browser address bar (firefox preferably). Probably it needs firefox add-on too.. Is this doable?
