I guess most people know this dynamic background; and I think it could fit in my overall layout of Vista. But the grey messagebox is UGLY and the lightblue window is too... lightblue.
Does someone have the skills to edit this convo theme?

I don't think you can edit the backgrounds, as they are digitally signed by Microsoft. The fonts are also part of the program and cannot be edited design wise.

You could use Plus! to change your contact's font to match yours .

You could use mess patch / a-patch to remove the 'search' button, thus making the box smaller and less 'ugly' ?

The only reason the messagebox is that colour is because the background is black behind that part.

i actually like that dynamic background too.... the window colour drives me insane though.
