O.P. IM'd hyperlinks not working
Since upgrading to 3.61.145 I'm unable to see hyperlinks that are IM'd to me.  For example, if someone sends me http://www.msgplus.net I don't see a hyperlink I can click to follow all I see is the text.  Anyone have any idea what I've done to cause this or is this a know issue?  TIA...

It may be in your settings, can you post a screen shot?
To do a screen shot you should see on your key board a button called: Print Screen/Sys Rq
Then open an image editing program liek paint
Press ctrl+v
Save the image and vovla, youve got your screen shot

my bad..... then we need a screen shot or something, it may be resloved by re-installing msn and if that dosent work then re-install plus.

HugSpy, if you do not know what you're talking about then do not post. There is no need for a screenshot, because Terabyte has already stated his problem in detail.

As to say, someone sends him a link, it doesn't display it as a hyperlink but as text.

I do believe, there was something added to MSN Messenger 7.5 regarding links. Since I do not use it, I would not know for sure. But I'm almost positive something was done, added for security.

What version of MSN Messenger are you running?
I'm on: Twitter, Facebook, and Neowin

In MSN Messenger, go to Tools / Options / Security / make sure Allow links in the conversation window is checked.

I'm using Windows Messenger 5.1.0701, the latest build dated 16 Sept 2005 not MSN Messenger and I don't see a Tools, Options, Security option.  I have need on occassion to use Exchange IM too, though it's not configured that way now plus I truely dislike all the other fluff MSN adds.

Thanks...

wow...awesome that fixed it.  Here I was going through stuffplug, msg plus, and a-patch settings and uninstalling reinstalling patches and crap and reinstalled WLM and it still did not work.  Thanks man...I was kinda lazy and didn't look at WLM settings first which would be smart because WLM is known for stupid things like that.
