Normally my chatlogs were saved as one file for each contact every month (I have the save by date option selected) .  But for some time, the chat logger started saving them as different files. For some random month there is 2, or sometimes even 3 files for one contact. They're named like: contact@hotmail.com, contact@hotmail.com (2), contact@hotmail.com (3)
The same thing also happens for the "recorded events" file too.

This deviation from the normal file usually happens when a multipeople conversation with that contact is opened. Then the logger saves most of the chat with the contact into the first file but randomly saves some chats into the other files (the 2nd and 3rd ones).

Is this a bug or an option gone bad? Any help would be appreciated.

It happens to me too, but I have no idea why. sorry.

This has happened to me in the past but I usually pass it off as me mucking something up with the chatlogs (like editing them or something)

heh, yeah that's what I do too. MsgPlus used to do that before also, but rarely. Now it happens whenever's someone invited to conversations. And editing every one of them is a real pain
