I've used windows live messenger for over a year now, but all of the sudden I don't have the video call option in my menu anymore. Any ideas? I've rebooted, etc. To no avail. I'm running Vista Home Premium, cable internet, etc. I've also had problems recently where people in my contact list show up as offline even though they're online.

I don't know about your first problem. On your second problem, that usually happens a lot. I've experienced it too. Just sign out then sign back in. Usually works for me. =p

As for the contacts problem, try deleting contacts cache.

Yeah... that video call button is missing.

have you patched your messenger?

What does that mean? How do I patch it?

you have tried uninstalling then reinstalling WLM?

Even simpler, do a repair in Programs and Features.
