Ok, for a long while now, I have been using MSN for Voice Chats, and recently, like, in the past month, I cannot hear things properly. Unless the users voice is very loud, I can't hear it, as if the sensitivity has been turned down.

The users has not manually changed any settings so I was thinking maybe MSN has a built in hidden sensitivity setting or something?

If not..... Anyone have any suggestions?

Have you changed the volume for Messenger (via the volume mixer)?

The user may just have re-positioned their microphone in a poor place :P.

It's not that.

Loud sounds get through without a problem. But it is like the sensitivity is set to the middle of their voice range. Half the time they can be heard, the other half it cuts out or never picks up till mid sentence, or never. Or when their voice is lower, like when depressed, it doesn't pick up at all. It's starting to get on my nerves.

I'm still open to suggestions. Reg edits, w/e.

If no one else has any ideas I'll try uninstalling, removing all traces od the MSN settings from registry and re installing.

Though this has not worked in the past.
