Dear all,

Currently, i am a user of msn messenger of v 7.5.0324. I understand that we are encourage to either use MSN Messenger 7.0.0820 or Window Live.

I notice that my msn got upgraded automatically (without any prompt) to Window Live regardless of whether i am using v 7.5.0324 or 7.0.0820 .

This is pissing me off and i have to uninstalled the Window Live and reinstall the
MSN Messenger (7.5 or 7.0).

Imagine i have to do the same a couple of times per day.

Can anyone shed some lights on how to stop the upgrading. Any points will be greatly appreciated.

thanks dude. but it automatically grade me to msn live even if i installed "MSN Messenger 7.0.0820".

the same version as the thread you directed me too

in short, problem still exists

I edited the above post briefly before you posted that...when you uninstall Windows Live Messenger, make sure you delete the folder in "C:/Program Files/Windows Live", and reboot.

No software should update without user interaction. If it updated, you must have clicked the message telling you that you need to upgrade
