Bug with email checker and Vista

Also you may want to apply AllowDirectXCheck registry setting. I think it can fix this problem. see Patchou's reply to "Bug with email checker and Vista"

I try the AllowDirectXCheck registry's tips, but, nothing have change

I look in my pc for suspect program or program may cause a conflict, but i have only two program installed :
- VistaGlazz
- Windows Live Mail

I don't think that it's this program that can cause problem

Maybe my drivers' card graphic

I update this yesterday, juste after upadte messenger plus in 4.60, because i think that a new version can eradicate it's bug

I downgrade my video card drivers tomorow, and i will report if it's work

I have done a frech install of Vista this week

And now, I'm This problem :



Already with mail checking

It would be 2 things that provoque this bug :

- The program is bad coded

- The Drivers Vista default not work propely

- Another things, but i don't know, why ???

are you sure this new error really comes from the pop3 email checker? somehow, I doubt it.

Yes, it apear just before the popup of new mail

But, i have just receive the Windows XP cd's that I command

I am more than tired of Vista

Not only for this problem, but also because the system is slooooooww

I install xp, and the Mail Check works very well

It has nothing do understand, Vista is still too young

I made a dual boot Vista-XP and I continued my tests

I noticed that Microsoft has released an update called Service Pack 1, but was not offered on Windows Update for my HP NC2400

I still update my computer and ... the drivers of my sound card have changed as a result of installing the service pack

And miracle, the popup does most bugs

It was therefore a problem driver, but not the video, it was the sound card that was all messed up

I therefore advise all those who have a card with the drivers "Universal High Definition Audio UAA Driver" to install the service pack

Problem solved!
