O.P. Hiding messenger with the change status prompt open
If you sign in as offline, and then ctrl+space to hide messenger while the 'change your status to online?' prompt is open, then when you double click the item in the system tray the prompt does not reappear, but messenger becomes unusable because it is still waiting for a response.
