MY MSN MESSENGER IS SAVING MY HISTORY AND THE BOX IS NOT CHECKED.. WHY IS IT DOING THAT?

Which is saving: Messenger itself or Messenger Plus!?

umm my conversations.. I have windows live messnger

its saving my conversations, and I don't have the box checked for it to save them.. I don't know why its doing that, never has before.

do you have MessengerPlus! installed?

yes, it is installed. I've used it to talk to people, and out of nowhere it just started saving them.

If you dont want to have your conversations saved, go to messenger options> Messages> Make sure "Automatically keep a history of my conversations" is unticked. Then go to Plus!> Preferences & Options> Conversations> Chat Logging> Untick "Enable chat logging by default".

how can I make sure it's only gonna save them under My Chat Logs? can you redirect them? incase it starts saving them again.

Messenger Plus! Live is an addon for Windows Live Messenger. This means it adds extra features to Windows Live Messenger.

One of those features is a more elaborate logging system of the chats in the form of HTML logs (or pure text logs depending on the settings).

This means that, if you have installed Messenger Plus! Live, that you can have 2 types of logs: one which is created by Windows Live Messenger, and one which is created by the addon Messenger Plus! Live.

Now, the logging of Messenger Plus! Live is turned ON by default!

In other words, the option to log your chats with Messenger Plus! Live has most likely _always_ been on in th first place! You just only noticed it now that there were logs being created.

Note: when you first started Windows Live Messenger after you installed Messenger Plus! Live, you should have seen a configuration wizard. On the second page of that wizard, you could have seen that logging was enabled in Plus!. So, in the futur, always read everything which pops up on the screen. This is always highly important when installing software. Never ever simply click on the "Next" button in installations or wizard screens without reading stuff, unless you know exactly what you're doing and what the result will be.

Those options will not turn on or off by themselfs!
Once you turned it off (or on) it will stay off (or on).

You can save the logs wherever you want. Check the preferences of Messenger Plus! Live:
Plus! > Preferences & Options > Conversations > Chat logging

I also strongly suggest you browse all the other options to get familiar with the things Messenger Plus! can do.
