Never. Technically Messenger 9 doesn't even exist. It's Messenger 2009, or Build 14.something if you want to get technical. I think Messenger 2009 was still labeled 9.something in the very first private beta, and coming after 8.5 I don't really blame people for massively mislabeling, but I hope it will stop at the next major build. I mean, Msgshit calls the last update 9.2 FFS.</rant>

I think Windows Live wave 4 will appear (probably in some type of public beta) Q4 or late Q3 this year, which most likely includes a new major Messenger version.
