Windows live messenger shuts down as soon as you have signed in. There are no error messages no nothing it just shuts down. Has anyone got any advice or a solution for me thanks.........effie

Does the problem still occur if you uninstall Messenger Plus! Live?

Hey, I'm having the very same problem ... here are some details:

* It shuts down only on ONE of my accounts (but it is the most important school-work related, so I can not be without it!)
* That account has (or rather HAD) skin aplied with MSN Plus ... I searched the floders, delited it, but it still opens as if I have that skin and it still shuts down completly.
* I have installed and uninstalled both MSN Plus! (2 times), MSN (1 time), MSN AND MSN Plus (one time) ... yet the thing isn't any better!
* I have checked the BitDefender antivirus ... I had shut it down ... I had restarted my computer ... I even did System Restore ... nothing is helping.
* In the past (about a 14 days after I put the new MSN up and running), if I clicked one of my schoolmates (THE one contact ... nobody else but him) ... it shut down just as it does now with signing in. I signed in with old Windows Messenger and deleted the contact just in case if that's what's messing the thing and it's obviously not.

Please, help I REALLY NEED THAT MSN TO WORK!
