Hi, I'm having trouble with MSN Live Messenger (newest version).

It worked fine for months, but now anytime I add someone they never get the invite, and if they add me they don't get the invite on their end.  The only way for me to add someone is to use pidgin (or another type of device) to add them.


It will NOT work with msn live messenger.  Anyone know whats up?

Try removing and then reinstalling Windows Live Messenger.

Note: It's listed under Windows Live Essentials in Add/Remove Programs.

Also in Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs, Messenger Plus! Live has a 'Repair Messenger' button, try using that.

Make sure no other applications are conflicting, including any add-ons or security software (firewall, anti-virus, etc.). Remove them.

If no luck, perform a clean install which will remove all of Messenger's files and settings.
