O.P. Emotes disabled, won't turn back on.

Found the option and enabled it and custom emotes, clicked Okay. Still off, went back, option was still disabled, tried again but clicked Apply then Okay. Still off, what's going on? D:

This doesn't have anything to do with Messenger Plus! hence you posted in the incorrect section.

Do you have any addons installed that interact with Windows Live Messenger?
