O.P. Unable to talk to contacts while you are setting a contact come back message

if you set a comeback message, then click off onto another contact, you are unable to talk to them, because it will not switch to the text cursor when you have clicked on the send text window..

edit/update:

once you click off the comeback message window, the messenger im windows that you clicked on go crazi and dont respond
