Hi everyone,

I want to promote my forum that I have it's an adult forum which I don't want to spam here.  I don't have alot of money and I have submited my site to search engines and a few toplists but not sure how well that works.

What else can I do to promote it and get people to the forum?  I see all these other forums and it makes me sad that I'm not that popular.  help.

Get people to link to your forum. And you link to them. That's one of the factors to get a high position in Google.

Make sure to have a lot of content and/or posts in your forums.

Guys, come on, he isn't really advertising, he's just looking for help from us really, its not that bad really is it, I don't see a single link...

So yeah, other than submitting to search engines, I guess all you could do is wait, and go onto websites asking them to put y our links and stuff on it...

Submitting to search engines won't do to much. I once submitted my site to 200 search engines but only 2 added my site and they were ones KNOW ONE has heard of.

The best way is to email people that have sites similar to yours and ask if you can trade links with them. Link swapping. For example: You put there link on your site and they put yours on theirs.

I know it's hard to advertise. If you have MSN Messenger you could put the link to your site in your name. Also search Google for free link swap sites to post your site your site on.

Another good way to do it is post on other forums similar to yours. I don’t recommend using free advertising websites to advertise your site. They usually never advertise your site and they fill your site with spam (most of them require an ad banner on your site before they advertise you).

There are many ways to do it, getting them to work and getting people to your site is that hard part.

Whenever you sign up to a forum or equivalent, in your profile options, add your site's address if there is a website field and put a link to your site in your sig also. It helped my to get a page rank of 3/10

I got a website.. if you wanna exchange some banners, pm me maybe we could do stm

Btw, try not to use banners, but text links.

Text can be "read" by the search engines like Google, but banners (images) not.
