that was a great plug-in, does any of you know if it still exists?

Not any more atownjoe. That feature has been removed because of the way MSNM protocol works. It doesn't give accurate results. For more information as to why it was removed, check out the thread in the StuffPlug forum: The Window Open Notifier Option.

There is a plug and a program which still have this feature though. They are the openConvo plugin (which is the one you are most probably looking for) and MessengerDiscovery X.

Actually, the beta version of StuffPlug-NG that I have does have a re-coded window open notifier.

Didn't see that as I don't read any of the localised forums.

In my honest opinion, I see no way how TB could do it.  I mean, whenever someone signs in, it requests their DP, just like you opened a coversation with them.  I see no way how he could do it.  I have worked with the MSN Protocol alot, and with the new P2P conversations.. I dont know.

It could just be that it tells you that a convo has been open when someone starts typing.

This wouldnt work, as when they type a second time it will tell you they opened a conversation for you. and for the third time and forth and so on.


Mabie when a window is open for the first time, and the user starts typing.

Not really, there are a few bots that do it (Bot2k3 for example)
