I am after a torrent application for use on a linux based system.
I would prefer it to be very low memory intensive as it is running on a really old machine. I was just going to see if I could use it as a downloading pc.
So does anyone have any experience with one that would run smoothly on a slow pc?

Sorry, I am not sure if there are any torrent clients to run on a linux machine, unless you use a windows emulator to run it, I doubt you could find one that easily.

there are torrent programs.. Bittorent an there are a few on http://sourceforge.net

Ok damm really? I thought i remembered reading about one once. must of imagined it. oh well thanks for your reply.
If anyone can prove us both wrong that would be great

I have looked through the programs etc. on SourceForge, and I can't really find any that support linux, they mostly support Windows only.

trust me trax, i know there are, coz fedora core has a linux bittorrent program

http://www.bittorrent.com/ . i think you need to be in linux to download there rpm's or tarballs

its easy to find what u want through there or other places . some Distro's are actually getting clients in them
