Hi everybody,

I'm having trouble with Messenger Plus! Live. When I attempt to download it it downloads only 387 kb of the installer and when I try to run the installer it tells me that it's not a valid Win32 application (obviously because most of the program is missing.)

I've tried to download the application from three different computers:
- A Windows XP Pro SP2 machine with both Firefox and IE 6 (both fully up to date).
- An iMac with a fully up to date version of MacOS X using Safari.
- A Ubuntu Linux server with Mozilla as the browser.

Under Safari the error message "POSTIX error" was returned.

I've cleared the cache, cookies and all else on all machines.

I'm not running any download managers or anything, and I have no problems downloading other files.

Is anybody else having these problems?

Messenger Plus Live will only install on Windows Xp and above, first try downloading from here -> http://www.msgpluslive.net/download/ and if that does'nt work try downloading from here -> http://msgplus.ikhost.net/

I understand that it will only install under Windows, but it won't even download under Ubuntu, MacOS X or XP.

My friend also had trouble downloading it, so I uploaded it to RapidShare. I've been trying to post the link here in this thread, but it's not letting me. Why?

I read the forum rules, and couldn't find anything. This file is not illegal. It's MsgPlusLive-400.exe. Is there a trick to posting hyperlinks? It wouldn't allow it whether I used the link by itself, with code tags, or with url tags.

Because that thread is locked. Anyway, there's enough mirrors now so one more won't make a big difference

yeah i had to get seamaiden to send me the file i dont know how she got it but atleast i got it

It is blocked against being uploaded because of leaked builds.

Now to fix the issue you need to clear your temporary internet files. If you are using Internet Explorer goto Tools > Interop Options > Delete Files > Ok

If you are using Firefox goto Tools > Options > Privacy > Cache > Clear Cache Now

Once you have done that you can redownload the file.

No, Matty, clearing the cache isn't the fix for this issue isn't that simple.
