O.P. WLM Continually Crashes
Is anyone else experiencing random crashes, or has a solution for it?
About every twenty minutes my msn will crash, i have uninstalled and reinstalled trying both 8.0 and 8.1 public beta, without patching.

Have you done a full uninstall? Deleting the registry and folders for Windows Live Messenger?

Yea the same randomly started to happen with me months ago and then randomly stopped after 10-15 days . I still think its the memory(processes) leak to be held responsible. Try using ReduceMem [RELEASE] ReduceMEM v1.3

RE: WLM Continually Crashes
Java has nothing to do with Messenger. Nor does Flash.
BTW: The latest version of Java is 5.0 (or 1.5, depending on which part of Java you're talking about).

Dynamic Display Pictures require flash player be installed otherwise they are not displayed.
Anyway back on topic, I noticed this as well and I managed to find the culprit, that was MessengerDiscovery, if you use that try removing that and see if it helps. Also what Felu said could also help, and to be honest it wouldn't be surprising at all if it was the memory leak.

Stop all of your scripts. That used to happen to me when i has ~5 active scripts... dodgy conflict between them...
