O.P. Streaming music videos
Im throwing a little party tomorrow, and instead of just playing music, I thought it might be a nice change to play music videos on one of my dual monitors, the one thats hooked up to my projector.. Only problem is, I have about 10 videos on my computer, and really cant be bothered to download a whole bunch of them. I know theres sites like msn videos and such that play videos, but they also have commercials that always seem to be 10x louder then normal, and they always play the censored videos.

What Im looking for is a website or program that can play uninterupted music videos, preferably the explicit version, although thats not a huge deal I guess. I use Winamp for music, and as far as I know with their Shoutcast service, it only streams music, not video.

Im open to any suggestions you guys have, thanks :)

RE: Streaming music videos
put on one of Joost's music channels. May i recommend the Ministry of Sound channel?

http://joost.com/whatson/channels.html gives a full list of all the channels, including the music videos. Download link on the top of the page.

there are short ads between songs, no more than 10 seconds

I prefer not to use Real Player, have never liked it, or it doesnt like my computer, but we dont get a long, lol.
I tried signing up the Joost beta, but have not yet received the confirmation email, so Im stuck on that one right now I guess.

Any other suggestions? The main thing Im looking for is no ads though

never tried it, but http://www.abc.net.au/vod/entertainment/default.htm?program=rage maybe.
was put impeccably into words at DebianDay for me last Saturday, by Knut Yrvin of Trolltech - adults try something once, fail, and then are like "ffs this doesn't work". Children try, fail, and then try again, and succeed - maybe on the second, or even fifth retry. But the thing is that they keep at it and overcome the problems in the end.

Well, I tried out Miro, I couldnt find any decent channels though. Most of them had really bad audio or video quality, and I couldnt even stand watching it, so I dont think that ones going to work out.
The abc website was alright, same with youtube, I might use some of that music. I think for the most part Im just going to stick with yahoo or msn video though, unless I can find something else in the meantime. Thanks for the ideas though guys

yahoo's music video site streams videos and it continues to play through the entire selection just randomly (picking songs that are roughly similar to the one you choose to start it off)....and you can always just skip to the next song if a bad one comes on

http://music.yahoo.com/musicvideos/

hope this helps :)
