I did that and it still doesn't sign in. And you'd think the public beta should work anyway.

Did you install the entire suite or use the standalone installers found on the internet?

RE: Service is temporarly unavailable?
zambrak, I am having the same problem.

Jonathan Kay says it is because one of the components has not been installed or failed to install.

Here's the solution:

quote:
Thanks for the info. I unistalled all Windows Live components including the
Outlook Connector and Live Sign In Assistant both of which I missed before.
I used Revo Uninstaller to make sure the file system and registry had no
traces of these applications. Then I ran CCleaner to review and fix and
registry orphans which I found only a couple. Rebooted a couple of time and
re-ran Revo and CCleaner to again be through. It worked like a charm. I
installed Windows Live again and this time WLM worked without a flaw.

So basically uninstall everything, reboot, use CCleaner if you have it or download it and scan registry. Then install.

Download the full package too. The wlsetup-web.exe causes problems, for me at least.

Hm, well if nothing was deleted from the partition then it doesn't make sense that it's causing all these problems.  Do you get any error messages?

Maybe you could try a chkdsk to fix problems or even a repair install.
