O.P. Category inside Category
Why is it not possible to have a category inside a category?

I want to create a work category and create subcategories of the companies I have worked for. It doesn't work.

Anyway to do this?

Not possible. Windows Live Messenger is simply not build for that. So Messenger Plus! can't add this either.

However you can be creative with naming your categories in such a way that they are listed under eachother:

"Family"
"Friends"
"School"
"Work - CompanyName1"
"Work - CompanyName2"
"Work - CompanyName3"
etc...

PS: also remember that you can put a particular single contact in multiple categories.
