heyy all ,

how does Messenger Plus encrypt chat logs and is it possible to use the same program to encrypt my standard log files created by msn by default ??
i wanna do this because msn default logs give me the ability to show previous messages in new windows ( a feature i requested for the next Messenger Plus update )
but in the meantime i'd like to just encrypt the default logs

You can't use Messenger Plus! Live's encryption feature to encrypt Windows Live Messenger's own chats.

You'd have to use a standalone encryption program, but this may or may not impact on Messenger's ability to show previous messages in new windows, as it won't be able to read the encrypted files

No, as yet no news of new features has been released.  I have to say that it does seem unlikely that something like this will be included though

It's kind-of possible to make a script which does that (timing issues set aside), but it wouldn't solve any of your problems/requests.

All it would do is encrypt the log from Messenger. But Messenger would have no way of decrypting it (before the chat window is created). In essence, such a script would be quite useless as you could simply use Plus! own encrypted logs and disable the Messenger logs. It would have exactly the same effect.
