I forgot to uncheck the checkbox of installing Messager Plus Smartbar while upgrading to the latest Messenger Plus version. So after installation, I uninstalled it from ControlPanel and it gave the uninstall confirmation message.

Afterwards, I found the following two entries not cleaned with the uninstallation:
1- When you select any text -> All accelerators -> Search with Messanger plus smartbar search.
2- Right click on the top part in the IE.

Attached is a screenshot, these need to be fixed in the uninstallation process.

I tried that, and i keep seeing that smartbar popping up whenever I open firefox. I can't even find it in add/remove programs, and it keeps showing up. I'm starting to think they changed plus! into malware.

The Messenger Plus! Smartbar has a very clear Firefox add-on entry:

If for any reason this extension/add-on remains after Smartbar is removed from add/remove programs, simply Go to Firefox / Tools / Add-Ons / Extensions pane, Remove this extension and restart Firefox browser.

Once removed, it won’t (and can’t) come back unless the Smartbar is reinstalled.
