And I've tried to do that twice (uninstalling both and reinstalling) , but WLM only works when I uninstall Messenger Plus 5.
Can you uninstall A-patch (and any other patch or addon you might have), then repair or re-install Messenger, reboot, and finally re-install Messenger Plus!. then see if you still have the same problem..

I'm having the same problem, uninstalled plus 5 and works fine, I only installed this 24 hours ago and this is the first restart, no skins or add ons at all nor are there any of the apps listed earlier. All win 7 updates are installed, AVG, incredimail, steam, logitech setpoint, game booster, I note these apps so maybe this thread could isolate one that "might" be causing a problem (long shot I know).

Yes...I uninstalled the plus and then work...What's the matter with plus?

I uninstalled then reinstalled the plus, and then work...

i have just the same problem i installed yesterday and it worked fine
this morning i turn my pc on and i klick on msn and it seys runtime error.......
i uninstalled plus and now it works fine but i love Messenger Plus but i cant use it .......

I did it but the problem still remains.  I'll reinstall MsgPlus 5 to see if it works.
I was not using any skin or other addon (such as A-Patch).
