Adding contacts used to pop a medium sized box that says that "XXX has you to their contact list."

When I add someone, they don't receive that box. Only a yellow invitation bar. I've tried adding through MSN and hotmail.com, but they don't get that pop-up box. Am I adding contacts the wrong way?

I've tested using another account.

This was changed in Windows Live Messenger 2011, all invitations show up in a small information bar.

I don't know Maybe for the latest update.

if  you are unable to add another person, ask her to add you.

Sometimes it happens with me, then I ask to people add me, instead I add them.

Can someone help me here?
A friend added me on messenger.He also added me as a friend on my profile.But I did not accept it.
When I checked,he was not in my contact list when I knew I'd already added him in my contacts.
Was it due to the reason I did not add him on my profile?
