RE: Solution to problems installing Msg Plus! Live- READ BEFORE POSTING
I downloaded the file, but when I run it, it stalls on the "Installation in progress" screen. Nothing goes through. It stays at 0%. I can't even close the process, I have to open task manager to stop the task. I've tried downloading the file again, but still the same process.

I have a Windows 7 32-bit machine.

Can you check how big the file size is of the Plus! setup you've run and report that size back here.

After that:
1- Remove that web installer setup file.
(Also check your Desktop; There might also be a file link related to the webinstaller on there named "Continue Messenger Plus! Installation".)
2- Clear your browser cache (see how here)
3- Restart your computer
4- Redownload Messenger Plus! from this link:
    http://mirror10.msgpluslive.net/20110308/Conduit/Setup-MsgPlus-501.exe
    updated: http://mirror10.msgpluslive.net/20110531/VS/Setup-MsgPlus-502.exe
5- Save that full setup somewhere and start it up

Note that the above link will install the exact same version of Messenger Plus! as you tried before. The only difference is the setup/installer itself.

Do you have the same issue when doing all this?

RE: Solution to problems installing Msg Plus! Live- READ BEFORE POSTING
Read through the solutions, nothing seems to be what i'm getting. I'm on Windows 7 Ultimate x64, and Ive got the latest version of windows live, other msgplus versions install fine but with this new one as soon as it's downloaded and I want to open it a instilation sized box pops up but is just white. no icons nothing just a white box, ive left it for like 15 minutes and it does nothing. Only way you can close it is through task manager. Just a quick heads up, ive ran malware spyware checks etc, redownloaded it 8 million times, run it as administrator, run in compatability of about..every option on there, nothing .. just a white box.

Any help would be great! cause i'm rarther stick : D

w4nksta, can you also answer the question I asked to MeliMelo here, and maybe try the same thing as I suggested in that post.

Because after seeing your screenshot, I believe the setup you're using is the web-setup (which was never tested by beta testers and is known to have issues). So, I'd suggest you try again with the full size/offline setup.

RE: Solution to problems installing Msg Plus! Live- READ BEFORE POSTING
I've searched and read all i could and i couldn't find a solution to my problem.

i have msg plus live 4.9 and the WLM 2009 and it works just fine, but everytime i start it, says that there is a new version of msg plus available... so I press the update button, and it seems to be download but when the installer begins it just stays in blank and does nothing! it doesn't even let me shut it down!  so I have to force it to close, i am tired of it.
I try to download it by myself from this web to see if something changes but it happens the same. what can i do? i really want to have the last version
i hope there is a solution..

sorry for my english if is not so easy to understand.. im chilean

Huh?  RE: Solution to problems installing Msg Plus! Live- READ BEFORE POSTING
I have read the faq's and the posts. I still have this issue. I have a new laptop that i just installed the newest version of WLM off there site and then went to install MSG Plus off the site. When I open WLM plus does not show. I have removed and reinstalled 3 times and removed entries from the registry also. I do not have smilies or anyother add on. I have never had an issue with this software. Please assist.
