Hello all,

I have Windows Live Messenger 2011 (15.4.3508.1109) installed it on my laptop some time ago (downloaded from here).

And I also had Messenger Plus! 4.90.392 (downloaded from here) working. Ok, the MP! didn't appear in the window of WLM, but I had access to all the stuff!

Some days ago, I decided to install the last version of MP! (5.02.712), also downloaded from here, so I uninstalled the previous version and installed the most recent one. And when I started WLM, instead of appearing the contacts' windows, it appeared a black window!!

I had to format my laptop so I decided to formated then. After formating, I installed again Windows Live Messenger 2011 (15.4.3508.1109) and Messenger Plus! 5.02.712.
Now, when I try to run WLM, it appears the following popup:

Windows Live Messenger has stop working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you id a solution is available.

The funny thing is that if I uninstall the MP! 5 and reinstall the MP! 4.9, WLM works fine again!!

Can you help me understand what may being going wrong with MP! 5??

I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit with SP1.

Hi,

Thank you for reporting this to us. It is most likely caused by something not related to Messenger Plus! We had a similar problem with WLM 2011 in our office here even without Plus! installed

I have the same problem too.
I try to uninstall and re-install many times. It doesn't work.

I've sent you last week an email with detailed instructions. It seems that you didn't receive it.  It resend it again today.
