OK... I didn't go through the whole thread, but I had the same blue-screen error when I tried to reinstall Windows by accessing the recovery partition on a Gateway running XP MCE.

Suspecting memory error, I did a shutdown removed all the RAM (4x512) and installed one 512 stick of known good RAM.  Recovery started successfully and the problem was isolated to a original stick of bad RAM.

So before troubleshooting software on a C000021a blue-screen, try substituting RAM modules.

If anyone is still receiving this error you can try this solution, it worked for me.

Here is the problem I am working on an pc with windows xp pro. every 2 or 3 days  I get the following error

Stop: c000021a { Fatal System Error} The Windows Logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000005 (0x7c9106c3   0x005aed04). The system has been shutdown.
And then I have to press reset button and repeat my work.
Pls help me

Dudes, i had the same problem, I searched online and I found a blog posting from Charles white, my problem was a computer with viruses, I used avast to clean them and did a reboot clean, my mistake was to make the settings to erase the virus files instead of repairing them or moving them to quarantine, so I messed up windows and couldn't even get in safe mode, I tried to repair it from the xp install disk, after the first reboot I got the blue screen of death, and I was all frustrated, I was not comfortable using the repair console and writing down commands but I still took the chance, this guy posted the way to repair your xp and it worked, I read 9 pages of this blog here without a solution until I tried Charles white's solution, it worked for me, and I hope it works for you, here is the link:
