S7a5, Net Send "Messenger Service" is compleatly unrelated to Windows/MSN Messenger. It's an internal Windows NT feature. Open a command window and type Net Send. That's what it is. If I type Net Send 10.8.5.7 Hi there, then it will send the text "Hi there" to the IP 10.8.5.7, and if they have a Windows NT based OS with Net Send enabled then they will see the message.
