Is it just Messenger what's causing your system to hang? If the answer is "yes", then try to uninstall plus and messenger and then reinstall them again. If the answer is "no", then there might be some driver/hardware problem...
hehehe, i can imagine... It is not happening with any other software - just msgplus...
Do u want to come over here and look at the comp?? I only live in Australia... lol
or i could post it to you perhaps?? (that won't be happening)
Are there any known conflicts between MSN and other software?
I've just tested it also on Win2k (don't know which service pack though, was on a friends computer and hadn't much time). There was not a problem at all with dragging/docking and also no problem when right clicking on the display name. He has the same graphic card/drivers then me (nvidea geforce4)...
Im now finding more instabilities, but only when using msgplus.
Often, when i double click on a contact to open a message window, the system will hang.
I am going to look into updating display drivers - its all i can think of...
Are there any utilities that really will optimize my system?
Uninstalled both display drivers (VIA Tech VT8361/VT8601 and Matrox Millennium) and then reinstalled with most recent versions.
I can now dock on either side of both Display 1 and 2, and drag between displays.
I also get the vibe that my system is more stable.
Thanks guys... hope this can help someone else as well!!
