but it lets other users on the same computer sign in. sometimes it signs in on my server but there is always something wrong. like yesterday I signed in and i only had three contacts when usually i have lots more and also it wouldnt let me change my display name which is annoying. also today i tried to sign in but it wouldnt but a pop up came on the screen saying I had a "1 new e-mail message"like it normally does when i  sign in..what is happening and why wont it let me sign in?
PLEASE HELP...i cant live without msn messenger whilst i'm revising for exams, i need a break to talk to far away contacts!

Try uninstalling, reboot then reinstalling..it sounds like it got a bit corrupted somehow.

if you uninstall msn messenger, do you have to add the contacts again once you reinstall or not?

No, the contact list is not saved on your computer, but on Microsoft's servers

so, they will stay on the computer and automatically add the contacts itself onto the reinstalled msn messenger then?

Nothing will happen to your contact list; it will still be there after reinstalling.
