OE is very much used, Eudora is not. So the risk is
extremely low. It is handy to hide that window though, so you can delete spam messages without reading them. If there's an image loaded in the spam-e-mail, they might now that your e-mail address works..
Oh, btw, I use Eudora (sometimes). Mostly I use KMail.
