After all the years of Plus, i finally have had a hiccup.

While:
Right click on a name,
Messenger Plus! Extras,
Rename Contact....

Twice today while renaming a contact, Messenger has had to shut down and restart.

Version 6.2.0133
Plus 3.00.92
Win ME 4.90.3000 (all updates current)

To further explain this, after attempting to rename a contact, all of the list returns to email address instead of user name/custom name. I have not been able to replicate this on my XP system, only on the ME system (and it has now happened 3 times) Also worthy of note, on both systems I use Window's X's v6.2.133

I would like to further elaborate on my testin on the win ME system with the above problem.

I tried a fresh install of 6.2 (without Win X skin)
and a fresh install of plus 3.

Same result, whenever I try to 'rename a contact' plus seems to unload or something. All names default to email addy's in the main list. After about 30-45 seconds messenger pops up the 'it has encountered an error' and needs to shut down.

I also did notice that after the 'rename' and everything went into limbo, that I was unable to open the prefereneces panel for plus, and the tab of 'Messenger Plus! Extras' by right clicking on a name in the list is no longer available.

I was curious if there was an update on the above described quirk. I've been following all the bug threads in the last few days, and it appears that all the other lil bugs i've seen have been solved or will be solved in the upcoming update. Granted I don't use some of the features in the other bugs, but I will say this one has become quite the pain in the rear... lol.

Well, I've tried renaming in Windows 98 yesterday and it worked. It's suppsoed to work the same in Windows ME, however, I'll install a new Windows ME partition and check the bug before tomorrow.

As I stated in my other post, with the update to V 3.01.94, this issue appears to be resolved. I'll follow thru if I see another hiccup on it.  Great job once again Patchou!!!

i got windows me and rename my contacts a lot, and i dont have the new version yet
it has never happened to me

I've fixed some stuff in version 3.01 for this, I'm glad it helped
