The small icon that appears in your message window above the send message box is not there. Also tags do not work (eg. (!VER), /sanger, ctrl + k, font tags (bold)). Chats are not logged. Word filters don't work. Sending quotes from recent messages, that don't work. But what does work:

The toasts that appear when someone goes offline and change their name work. The notification for when somebody changes the status is fine.

I'm not sure about everything else. I have tried both Plus! 3.00 and the recently released 3.01. It has been like this ever since my first installation.

Not repro (as MS would say). Did you try a clean install (uninstall, remove configuration and reinstall again)?

Sorry? And no I haven't, but I'll try that now and I'll edit my post once I'm done and tell you how it is.

edit: This is what I just did:

1) Uninstall Messenger Plus! including user preferences and the other one
2) Restarted
3) Reinstall, making sure MSN was closed
4) Open MSN, open a conversation with someone, check what works

Turns out that it's exactly the same.. chats are still not logged, (!VER), /sanger and ctrl + k doesn't work.

what do you mean with "doesn't work"? what can you see when you try to use those tags and commands? Can you see colors, or heard sounds if your contacts send them to you? Does the /ping command work (sent and/or received)? Do you have any other program related to messenger installed? Make sure you have enabled all the options in plus > preferences > instant messages > commands & tags

I do use the latest version.. what I meant was, I used 3.00 before 3.01 was released.

Doesn't work.. as in doesn't work as it's supposed to. When I type (!VER), it just comes up as (!VER). It DOESN'T go

MSN Messenger Version: 6.2.0133

/sanger just appears as /sanger, ctrl + k does nothing.

I just got my friend to use the "Wow" tag, appears as: +45Wooooow!.

Only things that work normally are the toasts when people go offline or change their name, the menus are there and it can also still remove the advertisement banner. I'm not sure about the rest.

The commands and tags are enabled.

similar things happen with me but it started just recently. does anyone know if smiley central can inferfere with msg plus?

Oohhh!! I see now.. Thanks Choli, I think I might've installed another plug in onto MSN, so when I try installing Messenger Plus!, it doesn't work completely. I just uninstalled Plus! and MSN, reinstalled both of them, and it works. Thanks a lot.

quite probable. Try to unistall smiley central, reboot and test if plus works properly. If that's the case, the problem is with smiley central.

no problem

the /nick it says i can put colour into my nick name? but i get an error message saying this command doesnt exist please help. i want a colourful nickname!
