Alright, my problem is that i turned on messenger today, and found that it would log in, like it had been ever since i installed (and uninstalled) MyCustomNix. I calmly went to their official website, downloaded and chose repair. Upon restarting and all, I turned it on, an lo and behold it wouldn't log in. However, it did offer me a 'fix' option. Yay, I thought to my unknowing self.

I chose fix, and it did log me in, except with one difference - but for abotu 20 people, mycontacts list was empty. I didn't panic - this had happened to me the other day, and a simple restart had fixed it.

This time, it didn't. Neither did a reinstall, a full restart, and god knows what else.

Someone please explain to me what just happened????

Unistalled, restarted, intalled, still the same problem. And to top it all off, it randomly logs me out whenver i try to talk to the few contacts I have left...

In addition, Ihave tried it on another computer, and all my contacts are there. Stranger and stranger. Did I mention this happened right after installing MyCustomNix?

A full reinstall of Plus fixed it. Anyone care to explain?

Simple coincidence I would say . Despite what a lot of people are saying on this forum, reinstalling Plus! rarely solves any problem (at least, if you dont uninstall it first).

Looks like the problem was MyCustomNix. The full uninstall an reinstall of Plus deleted MyCustomNix from plugins-menu/settings too (some traces mite still have been left when u uninstalled it). MyCustomNix wasnt installed on the other computer u tried it on rite?

second time ive come across this this week:

sign out, sign in on a different computer, block a contact, unblock a contact - block another contact, unblock the contact, sign out, sign in on the original computer

I guessed it was MyCustomNix, and deleting all traces of the plugin was the reason for me reinstalling Plus - i wasn't actually blaming Plus!

1. There is no such thing as an official MyCustomNix site.
2. There is no "Fix"/"Repair" option in MyCustomNix/MyCustomNix setup.
3. Randomly deleted: I got this error too, it's MSN server-side. And I don't use MyCustomNix
4. I think you got some fake stuff...

Save your contact lists just incase

I was talking about the official MSN Messegner site, and repairing it from there - sorry if it came out sounding wrong.

As for saving my contacts list/it being server-side, that's a funny story too, because when I logged in on another PC, it was all there. But not on mine, even afterwards. Not even when I imported my contacts list...
