O.P. Is there a program which can split folders?
Hi...
I have a folder wich is 2+ GB.
I want to "split" this folder to 700 MB so i can burn it to a CD.
Is there a program that can do this?

Your burning software itself or Windows Explorer    ^o)

EDIT:
In the burning software select the files you want.
Or in Windows Explorer, just copy a bunch of files to another directory.

Too lazy :P
Who would manually "split" a 2 GB folder to 700 MBs? :P

I'm not sure what exactly you want to do.... you say you have a FOLDER that's 2gigs.... you can just take files from it and put them on different cd's this way you can access them..... just put them in alphabetical order or somethign and label the cd's 1-20 or whatever

If you don't care about haveing access to the files, like if you just want to archive some stuff you have that you might not need to use, you can download hjsplit. You can then use winzip or winrar to make the folder into a file, and hjsplit can turn it into many 700MB files.... but the program does take time...

WINDOWS EXPLORER!

I realy don't get you....... Selecting a bunch of files and moving them into another directory takes 2 seconds and is the most easiest thing todo.....

So you're to lazy to click you mouse twice (yes, only twice) and drag the files to another directory???

But on the same time you're not lazy to download a program, install it, learn how to work with it, open up your folder, selecting the files you want???
(and note that the last two actions are EXACTLY the same as you would do in WINDOWS EXPLORER, but without all the fuss)

That makes absolutely no sense....

Well yes it might be simple but the folder contains files which can be 800 KB and another which can be 8 MB.
Oh well guess i will do it the manual way... :(
