No, because there are very nasty bugs I assume...

Probably both reasons tbh, I cant see 1.2 working on msn 6.

Also dont apply any Patchou Patches you might have picked up to anything less then version 3 of messenger, they cause some major problems.

Especially after all those menu hook problems and stuff with MSN 5 and 6...

I would love to completely downgrade everything for a day though, like to the old MSN Messenger versions with those pixely smilies (or even before those existed!), and an old Messenger Plus! version... Lol I love those screenshots, thanks Matty.

You can install version 1.4 anytime, without having to worry. It still works well with Windows Messenger 4.x (and probably MSN Messenger 5.x too if you're not using Windows XP). Old versions of Messenger Plus! were using a whole different technique (prior around 1.20). At that  time, Messenger Plus! was replacing the Messenger files by his so that Plus! would be launched instaed of Messenger. This caused a lot of problem and I don't want these problems to happen to you .

what ever happened about the 1.42b source code being released?

Well, I never abandoned the project but there was so much controversy on msn fanatic when I talked about it that it somehow killed my interest. As most people were complaining that the source of the old Plus! was not what they wanted, I didn't bother to start to clean the code for a public release.

.  I downloaded the "lost and critical" version of 1.20, the one that Patchou had a horrible bug in .  It was on KaZaA, with a whole crapload of viruses (Most commonly W32.Jeefo).  Anywayz, you should make a ZIP file of the Plus! 1 Public Versions and the Plus! 2 Public Versions Available (I have alot of the 2 public versions!).  I'd be interested to run them on my "Test System"
