This is a plugin I cobbled together in 5 minutes, using a fair amount of my previous work.

It simply checks your unread mail count, and if there's unread mail, offers the option of automatically opening your inbox.

Untested with non-Hotmail acounts, so please let me know what happens.

In a conversation window, just type '/xemcheck'.

isn't that more than useless? just open the messenger window and click the link =/

and what if you have the pop3 option enabled?

just the same. click the e-mail text and it's done =/

if you have the pop3 option enabled in Plus! you can't check Hotmail anymore trough MSN Messenger, you have to visit Hotmail.

No you don't: I have the POP3 option enabled, and yet Messenger still checks my Hotmail account. Anyway, my plugin accesses Messenger's own API, so it gets the unread mail count from Hotmail accounts, and launches that.

i still don't get any idea of how this is beneficial =/

because you can't click the "No new messages." link to access hotmail when having pop3 enabled. it will redirect to your e-mail program. and this plugin will open your hotmail inbox
