O.P. Huh?  Sounds
I'm new to this and most baffled at what is not happeneing

Just installed Messenger 6.2 and Plus 3...... however I get no sounds either when I send or I receive......

But..... the really strange part is .. if I install the Monty Python plug-in  I can .......

Anybody else come across this .... and what I could do to rectify this

My friend tells me to tick all sound tick boxes in Messenger 6.2 Tools / General ..... and they are.

I have recently deleted SmilyCentral.... so no conflict there ....

Running on P3 Laptop with XP Pro .... and sufficient memory and hard drive space...

Any suggestions would be greatly received.... as I am missing out I've been told.

RE: Sounds
SmileyCentral is known to give problems with Plus!.

in a conversation window type /sconfig and press Enter, then choose the MPEG1 codec, if it's set on that use the MPEG2 codec.

If MPEG1 doesn't work, try MPEG2, and vice versa. If it still doesn't work, reinstall Plus: it's possible he sounds are corrupted.
