I tried to uninstall sponsor as recommended in this forum, but it did not work. I still get the search bar and the stupid pop-up ads.

When the un-install gave me those fuzzy numbers, there was only room to enter five digits in the textbox underneath, not seven. So it told me that I couldn't read, and left my computer unusable.

I soooo regret the day I decided to try out Messenger Plus.

You mean the size of the box or the text number limit?

Well, you may re-install Plus! with sponsor and try uninstalling again

Both the size of the box and the maximum number of characters it allows is inadequate. Normally, when a textbox is to small, the text will just scroll horisontally. It this case it doesn't, so maxchars seems to be at 5. When I enter character number sex, it just beeps.

But I've got rid of it now using that LOP remover thingy (toolbar_uninstall.exe).
