After installing MsgPlus (301), my computer refused to load Norton Firewall 2003 upon rebooting. I headed to the Symantec site and got my problem diagnosed. I was told that a file needed to run the firewall hadn't been loaded. Upon the removal of MsgPlus, the problem has ceased and Norton loads correctly..

Any idea on why this happens?

I'm running Windows XP Professional..

this is the first time I hear about this . Try to download a new copy of Plus! and install it again.

Hey Slim.

I don't know how Messenger plus can affect the firewall. Try disabling Messenger Plus from starting up when you boot your pc, giving the Firewall priority to load first.

Note that this will involve you starting plus manually when you load your pc.

Just a suggestion thats all, let me know if it works.

Nope, I didnt install the sponsor. How do I configure MsgPlus to NOT start at startup..

You might want to take a look at is it possible to remove plus from startup?
