There is just one small flaw: I don't thinki it will mute sound plugins.
My sound plugins use MCI, and therefore will always get played when the status is busy. I wouldn't be surprised to find Audiator does the same, as it uses FMOD.
He just wanted Messenger, he said nothing about plugins so I didn't make it plugin compatible lol
audiator has a nice /xaudisable command. hence make a quicktext called /mute or summit and in that chain up all the mute/disable commands for all sound plugins you have
if you just press ctl + space if you have plus! installed, then it minimises it completely, sends your status too Busy, and people can still IM you, but it will all be minimised in the system tray in a single modem looking object.

Here you go, made a simple plugin for you.
Type /xmute to mute MSN Messenger and Windows Messenger
and type /xunmute to reenable all the sounds.
Now what the plugin actually does is deletes the sound configuration from Windows then recreates it.
Enjoy
Again the Usage is
/xmute - Mutes Messenger
/xunmute - Unmutes Messenger
The program will record if your sounds are muted when you close messenger, if it is muted your registry will be backed up for next time you run it. Enjoy.

I was wondering if it is possible to make a plugin (or maybe it's an idea for the next Plus! release...) that can MUTE msn messenger. This way I can enjoy my movie/music/telephone call without the annoying sounds of messenger
just reminding you people why Barisko wants this plugin instead of turning off speaker
