Hey, i was wondering.......

cant someone make a plug-in that will update your disply pic every X seconds/minutes.

So you could have a folder that has files in it such as pic1, pic2, pic3, pic4 and the plug in will go to that directory and go through these pics every X seconds/minutes.

in a simpler explanation:

u have a folder with 5pics in it(eg. C:\AnimateDP\)
u set the plugin to that folder
u set the number of seconds for plugin to update DP
dp will thne look animated

well it wouldnt be an animated dp because even if u see the pic updated every so many seconds that doesnt mean ur contact will because there really is no such thing as real time in messenger
this has been asked many times b4 and it just aint possible but every so minutes well thats a better idea and im sure there is something that does this already does anybody know of this if there is?

Could probally be done, but keep in mind that if a DP changes every second that your contacts need to download the DP every second too. Also i believe that the MSN protocol does not always update DP's instantly, so delay's are to be expected. Smooth animation is not really possible.

if you wanted it for basic things like names moving and thing liek that then possibly could be done but i you wanted smiley faces that smile or others like this, then the time delay would make it not work propely

I'm making an addon atm with which you can do a lot with your display picture. Slideshow inclusive But it will be minutes indeed, no seconds

Cool sounds good, Any release dates or beta dates?

I'm testing it atm I hope it will be released next week. I'm running into a little problem so I need to fix that first (see other thread)
