I suggest that there should be some sort of system wide shortcut to open the Messenger Contact Window. This would be convienient if you are talking to someone and they ask you, "Hey, is John on?" or something like that. While I know some people are going to go, "This feature is pointless" I really do think that for convienience it would be a good idea.

Why not have a right click shortcut to see all those online (only online) in chat window rather than opening messenger contact window?

There's already a way to do this: it uses the Invite feature. Press Alt+I in a convo window, and it'll show you all online contacts. Press Escape to avoid inviting people.

Is it so hard to type google.com? Yet i absolutely love Firefox's google search and the rightclick-search-for feature.
