Is there any "Event Logging" option that will turn on automatically after i go idle or away so i know who went online while i was away and erase the information after i log out so it doesn't occupy space?

You could enable event logging; it will log always and not just when you're idle/away. You can then choose to view entries by going to Plus! > Event Log Viewer.

If you choose not to save it to a file, then it should be cleared on sign out. This is currently the best possible solution for your question.

It doesnt clear all the time when i log out of msn.

Hence the 'should', I wasn't fully sure either

I did some more testing and it should be deleted if you close and reopen MSN Messenger completely.
