No they wouldn't do that, legal and company relation issues are heavily involved here. If they were it was a problem with their junk mail filter, that would actually deliver all gMail e-mails to your Junk Mail folder...this is obviously at the server based level. Hotmail would have to not even accept the e-mail onto the server and block it...
And I just tried it and it seemed to work anyway...

Well the person you are replying to can add a diffrent reply email address, like they send you an email 1@1.com and they can specify so when you press the reply button it sends it back to 2@2.com
